Description

Have a craving for untouched pow?  Don’t want to spend $800-1,100 on a factory splitboard?  Not very handy with tools?  We at Chair 2 have the tools and experience to turn your favorite deck into your favorite split!

Just drop off your deck, and let us do all the work.

Our most common setup (Totalling $275) comes with the Voile DIY kit -tip/tail clips, hooks, touring brackets, climbing bars, pucks, slider plates (these are used to mount your existing snowboard bindings onto your splitboard), and hardware.  Cut, sealed, drilled, epoxied, and finished with a custom wax and top sheet treatment.

Because there are so many options now-a-days, we ask that you choose your hardware a-la-carte.  **NOTE THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BINDINGS**
  • Standard Voile DIY Setup – Uses “Voile DIY Kit Interface”. Compatible with Voile, Spark, and many other bindings.  You tell us your stance width, angles, and where you would like it on the board.  If you have older splitboard bindings (Lightrails, Burner, Blaze) and wont be needing the sliders, be sure to select the “Voile Interface” as opposed to the “Voile DIY Interface” to save yourself $!
  • Spark/Voile– Have the new Voile Speedrails or Spark Teslas (Magnetos/Afterburners/Surge/Arc)?  This setup uses the “Voile Interface” but without the touring brackets and climbing bars.  Just select your hooks/clips and pucks please!
  • Karakoram Setup– Plan to use Karakorams?  This setup uses the “Karakoram Interface” and does not need pucks, touring brackets and climbing bars.  Just select your hooks/clips please!

Inside Edge Options: SORRY, WE’RE NOT OFFERING THIS AT THIS TIME

PLEASE CONTACT US WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS PRIOR TO YOUR PURCHASE!  Every board build is different than the last, and we want the BEST for you.

BONUS: You’re going to need skins and poles to use your split!  So purchase them now, with your custom split, and we’ll give you 10% off!  Every penny counts, right?!  Just add the skins of your choice to your cart and use coupon code RIDEON10 at checkout.

Does not include hardware, or the cost of snowboard.

Does not include the cost of snowboard.  Cutting a board does creat a loss in stiffness in the board.  Chair 2 Board Sports, LLC is not responsible for any damage or change in performance to the board due to cutting, drilling, sanding, epoxying, varnishing, etc.  If any pieces of the split kit fall out of the deck, we will replace that piece at no charge.  We are not liable for any accidents that occur while touring or riding even if this is due to splitboard building errors.

The backcountry is no laughing matter.  It is dangerous and may cause serious injury or death.  Chair 2 assumes no responsibility for the safety of the purchaser, rider, or partners on the mountain.  You assume the safety of yourself and others with you.  Be smart.  Learn backcountry safety before heading out.  More info on backcountry safety can be found here.

Custom Splitboard Stance
List front foot first. Toe pointing to nose is positive, toe pointing to tail is negative. If you are "Duck" that means positive in front, and negative in back. Example: 15*, -9*
Distance from center of front binding to center of back binding. Example: 22.5"
How far back on the board you stand. Find the center of the board from tip to tail. Now find the center point between your bindings. The distance between those points is your setback. If you ride switch a lot in the BC (most don't), "centered" is okay. If not, a setback is ideal. Example: 1.5:
